We all do it. Eat just for the sake of eating at Christmas. Food is a great connector of people and for some Christmas is all about people, food and presents. The shame that goes with it if we ran out also, so we end up with at least double what we really need. It is a given that we are going to over-eat and probably drink a bit much as well. The important part is that with each mouthful be mindful or what the food represents to you.
Is it nourishment, love, distraction or just habit?
Stop and think about each mouthful so that you can recognise it and enjoy it for what it is. Be mindful about not only what you eat but also what is represents to YOU.
