For some people fibromyalgia is constant pain for which there is very little relief. It is often worsened by stress, inflammatory foods, exercise and environmental toxins. All of these lead to inflammation which is the source of pain.
We are all guilty of cutting corners in life, eating the wrong foods, overdoing the exercise and not really paying much attention to our toxic lifestyle. But for fibromyalgia suffers not paying detailed attention to all of these areas makes the pain worse. This is both good and bad. Bad because not being careful will cause pain but good because there is no choice and being as healthy as possible will benefit alot of other aspects other than just the fibromyalgia.
Supplementation for acute and chronic pain often involves curcumin. Eating turmeric will go part way but there is only a very small amount of curcumin in turmeric. It is the curcumin that is the active component to assist with reducing inflammation. Curcumin is part of an overall regime to reduce inflammation.
